Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of sajilobima.com and everything on it — the AI advisor, the plan comparison tool, the premium calculator, the articles and guides, and customer accounts (together, the “Platform”).

The Platform is operated by Drisya AI Pvt. Ltd., a private limited company incorporated in Nepal under the Company Act, 2063 (registration no. 357761), registered office at Aloknagar, Kathmandu, Nepal (“SajiloBima”, “we”, “us”).

By using the Platform you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not accept them, do not use the Platform.

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a contract under the Contract Act, 2056 (2000).

SajiloBima is an independent information and comparison platform. We gather publicly available information about insurance plans offered in Nepal, present it in a comparable form, and help you narrow down which plans may suit your situation.

We are not:

• an insurance company, and we do not underwrite any risk;
• an insurance agent, broker, surveyor or intermediary licensed by the Nepal Insurance Authority (Nepal Bima Pradhikaran);
• affiliated with, owned by, or acting on behalf of any insurer listed on the Platform;
• a seller of insurance policies. No policy can be bought on the Platform. No contract of insurance is created by anything you do here.

Nothing on the Platform constitutes insurance advice, financial advice, legal advice, tax advice or medical advice. Every insurance contract is between you and the insurer, on that insurer’s terms, and is subject to that insurer’s underwriting, acceptance and claims decisions.

We take reasonable care to keep plan information accurate and current, but:

• premiums, coverage limits, benefits, riders, exclusions, waiting periods and eligibility rules change, and an insurer may change them without notifying us;
• figures shown on the Platform — including any premium produced by the calculator — are indicative estimates for comparison only. They are not quotations and they do not bind any insurer;
• your actual premium and terms depend on underwriting: your age, health, occupation, sum assured, declarations and the insurer's own assessment;
• the insurer's policy document, schedule and prospectus prevail over anything shown here. Read them before you buy;
• industry-level statistics we display, such as claim settlement figures, describe the market or the named insurer as reported in published sources. They are not our own performance figures and they are not a promise about how your claim will be handled.

Before acting on anything you see here, verify it directly with the insurer.

The AI advisor uses artificial intelligence to interpret what you describe and suggest plans that may fit. You should understand that:

• its output is generated automatically and may be incomplete, outdated or wrong;
• it may not account for facts you did not tell it, and it cannot assess your risk profile the way an underwriter can;
• it is a research shortcut, not a recommendation from a licensed adviser, and it does not create any advisory relationship between us;
• your input is processed by a third-party AI provider, as described in the Privacy Policy;
• we do not receive any commission tied to which plan it suggests.

Use it as one input among several. Do not use it as the sole basis for a decision about your insurance.

We do not charge you. We do not take commission on any policy you buy.

We earn revenue from insurance companies through a partnership programme comprising advertising placement, sponsored articles, aggregated analytics, reporting and market insights. Where content is sponsored or an insurer has paid for placement, it is labelled.

Commercial relationships do not change comparison results or ranking logic. Where ranking or ordering is influenced by any commercial arrangement, we will say so clearly on the page concerned.

If you create an account, you agree to give accurate information, keep your password confidential, and tell us promptly at info@sajilobima.com if you suspect unauthorized use. You are responsible for activity under your account.

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these Terms, or that we reasonably believe is being used unlawfully or to harm the Platform or other users. You may close your account at any time.

You agree not to:

• use the Platform for any unlawful purpose, or in breach of the Electronic Transactions Act, 2063;
• scrape, crawl, harvest, mirror or systematically extract plan data, articles, images or any other content, whether manually or by automated means, without our prior written permission;
• reverse engineer, decompile, probe or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Platform, its APIs, servers or databases;
• interfere with the Platform's operation, including by denial-of-service, injection, or excessive automated requests;
• submit false, misleading or third-party personal information, or impersonate anyone;
• upload malware, or content that is defamatory, obscene, harassing, hateful or infringing;
• resell, sublicense or commercially exploit any part of the Platform or its content;
• use the Platform, our name or our data to solicit insurance business, or to present yourself as connected to us.

The Platform — its software, design, layout, comparison methodology, database structure, original articles, graphics, and the SajiloBima name and logo — is owned by Drisya AI Pvt. Ltd. and protected under the Copyright Act, 2059 and applicable trademark law.

You may view and print content for your own personal, non-commercial use. Everything else requires our written permission.

Insurers’ names, logos and product names belong to those insurers and are used for identification and comparison only. Their appearance on the Platform does not imply any endorsement, partnership or sponsorship, in either direction, unless we say so explicitly.

If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without obligation or payment to you.

The Platform links to insurers’ websites and other third-party resources. We do not control them, we do not endorse them, and we are not responsible for their content, products, security or privacy practices. Once you follow a link, that operator’s terms apply.

We aim to keep the Platform available but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may modify, suspend, restrict or discontinue any feature, or the whole Platform, at any time, including for maintenance. We are not liable for unavailability.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Platform and all content on it are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of accuracy, completeness, currency, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that any plan shown will be available to you, that you will be accepted by any insurer, that any premium shown will be the premium you are charged, or that any claim will be paid.

To the fullest extent permitted by Nepali law, SajiloBima, Drisya AI Pvt. Ltd., and its directors, employees and contractors will not be liable for:

• any decision you make about buying, changing, renewing or cancelling insurance;
• any act, omission, delay, refusal, repudiation, insolvency or claim decision of any insurer;
• any inaccuracy in plan data, premium estimate, AI output or article content;
• any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, or loss of profit, opportunity, data or goodwill.

Where liability cannot be excluded by law, our liability to you for all claims is no responsibility.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded — including your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2075.

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless against claims, losses, liabilities and reasonable costs arising from your breach of these Terms, your unlawful use of the Platform, or your submission of false or third-party information.

Advertising, sponsored articles, analytics, reporting and insights supplied to insurance companies are governed by a separate written agreement between us and that company. These Terms do not create any right for an insurer to receive data, placement, or the personal information of any user.

We are not liable for failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disaster, earthquake, flood, fire, epidemic, war, civil unrest, strike, bandh, power failure, internet or telecommunications failure, regulatory action, or the failure of a third-party service provider.

Our handling of personal information is governed by the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

We may amend these Terms. The effective date above shows when they last changed. Material changes will be notified on the Platform before they take effect. Continuing to use the Platform after that date means you accept the amended Terms.

You may stop using the Platform at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms or if we reasonably believe your use is unlawful or harmful. Sections 8, 11, 12, 13 and 19 survive termination.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Nepal.

If a dispute arises, we ask you to contact us first at info@sajilobima.com so we can try to resolve it informally within 30 days. If it cannot be resolved, then resolved with the law of Government of Nepal.

If any provision is held unenforceable, the rest remains in force. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between us regarding the Platform. You may not assign your rights under them; we may assign ours to a successor of the business.
